Ok, there’s a NEW pin on CP. It’s called the Frog Pin. It’s at the Dock.  Appropriate, huh? That’s because there’s an obstacle that’s a frog in Hydro-Hopper. Yeah, and my sister Julia knocked me off a piano bench today. You may be asking, “She knocked you off? She’s younger than you!” Well, I was busy playing piano! Jeez… Well there’s no picture cause I don’t even know how. I think I might though. I have an idea. And anyway, I already got the Frog Pin, so I can’t show you the message. 😦
-Brendan-
Oh Brendan is so funny. Â His sister did knock him off the piano bench and it tipped over too. Â She is a tough little girl, she is.
All four of us went to the Legion of Honor today to see the Cartier exhibit. Â Cartier is French so the “r” is not pronounced. Â We were in luck because there was a quartet playing jazz tunes and when the leader asked if anyone wanted to join in singing “When the Saints Coming Marching In…”, Brendan enthusiastically said “I do!” and the quartet laughed. Â Love that enthusiasm. Â Then when we were watching the playing a Museum person asked if Brendan wanted to join in on the Art happening for young children. Â I smiled but did not commit as I wanted to see what Brendan would say. Â He was a bit reluctant but I knew he would like it so I urged him to do it. Â I followed his group as they took a tour of the Cartier exhibit on the bottom floor of the Museum. Â I was very happy with him because he stayed with the group and was delighted in what he saw. Â He was fully engaged. Â Julia and John followed behind us and we met up at the end then took a quick look in the gift shop while Brendan and company went upstairs to work on a clock craft project.
We are so lucky to have arrived at the Museum at 1:43 right on time for the 2pm Art for Kids program that we did not even know was happening today. Â We are also really lucky to live just 15 minutes away from great art like Rodin and fancy puffed sofas and beautiful glassware.
I purchased postcards of Cartier necklaces and was tempted to try on one of their crystal tiaras. Â I might have to try one on next time and have someone take a picture. Â So bright and shiny. Â I also looked at a beautiful $740+ necklace that the museum had and will have only for the exhibit. Â It was stunning but as I would rather have my children schooled and educated, I think not.
All in all, a brilliant day.  We even saw kite surfers on the way going and back.  And Pupper  fell asleep after whining about not getting a tiny little wind up flashlight that I got for Brendan when we attended the King Tutenkhamun exhibit at the De Young Museum.
(Brendan: Pupper is my little sister Julia who knocked me down today. But of course I still love her.)
Goodbye!  🙂
